Some parents are very diligent at recording their baby’s ‘first’ – first smile, first laugh, first step, first word. Alas I’m not one of them and I’m sure that I will regret it in the future.
But I do want to remember what happened today… could it be her first lie?
Nora loves playing with three soft toys – a snowman, a reindeer, a bear.
I’m aware that I should start potty training Nora seriously very soon.
Put them together…
Nora was playing with her three soft toys and I was sitting on the sofa. She made a bum burp and I looked and her and asked ‘Nora poopoo?’ She looked at me with a hint of guilt and pointed at the snowman and said ‘poopoo’.
I tried not to laugh and told her that the snowman didn’t poopoo and she then pointed at the reindeer and then the bear after I told her that I know that the reindeer didn’t poopoo.
I asked her again if she poopoo because if she did she should go to the toilet. She said ‘no’… it did turn out to be just a bum burp after all… but the speed of her shifting the blame worries me.
