We went to see another nursery today, one suggested by Mommy L. Mommy L asked me to go as she wanted my opinion. The nursery is about 20 minutes walk uphill for me. I wasn’t going to register.
But Nora felt so much at home there, it’s unbelievable!
Susan, the carer who showed us around, asked if she could hold Nora. So I passed her over. I was thinking… well if she’s going to go to nursery, might as well get to know the people.
I really liked the layout of the nursery. Each three different age group has their own outside space and the inside space for the babies is huge! The children are all occupied and happy.
And best of all when I asked about availability, they said they could accommodate Nora!
When it was time to leave, Nora laid her head on Susan’s chest. She was very comfortable. I think she will thrive in a nursery environment and won’t miss me much. I felt a twinge of sadness.
At the moment Hills is my second choice nursery. The Hospital’s nursery is my favourite, due to it’s location and huge and wonderful outside space. But since Hills has told me that there will be space for Nora, I shall send her there first.
So, my mom will be here in May to look after Nora for a month, and then off to Hills it is. Unless, of course, I win at the horses.
